Your identity documents stolen to issue numbers to others??
These days, mostly we buy our mobile connection from the next door paan wallah or the shop around the corner. Very unsuspectingly we submit all our relevant and important documents viz; address proof and identity proof which are required to obtain the connection.
It is in news now that the documents that we submit are even being misused to issue connections under our very own name. This can cause a lot of problems including landing us in wrong and unwanted situations. As consumers we not only have a right to protect our identity, it is in our own interest to ensure that we do not get snared in situations of others’ guilt and crime.
