Banks to pay compensation for not resolving ATM transaction complaints timely.
Most of us must have faced a problem sometime or the other with our ATM transactions. And we all realise what it takes in spite of our best efforts and best intentions of the Bank to get them resolved.
Here is some heartening news: RBI has recently issued a directive to all the Banks to resolve ATM related problems in a specified and shorter time frame of 7 days. And what is more, if banks fail to resolve the complaints within the stipulated time, they will have to pay compensation to us on a per day basis, that is if we register the complaint with the Bank.

So, cheer up for while we go complaining to the Bank, for all we know we may be going laughing our way to the Bank. Also it would be no more a heavy heart and a light wallet but it would be the other way round!
